Laurence G. Jones

Mr. Jones is a graduate of Pratt School of Architecture. He began his career with James Wines and Site Projects in 1979. From the mid 1980's through the early 1990's Laurence worked as project architect on numerous new commercial structures for some of the country's leading retail establishments: Saks Fifth Avenue, Marshall Fields, Kohl's, Lord & Taylor and The Bergdoff Goodman Men's Store in New York City. He established his own firm, Laurence G. Jones Architects PLLC, to specialize in the design and planning of corporate interiors. Since that time his practice has broadened its client base to include some of the most prestigious names in the corporate, commercial and not-for-profit worlds.

Design Philosophy

Design today is a complex, interactive process. Although much of the firm's work has a contemporary or "modern" aesthetic, we avoid bringing a predisposition of "style" to a project or imposing our aesthetics on our clients. Each project is a collaboration. From the beginning we seek to work with the client in every aspect of planning and design. We endeavor to learn about the special requirements and the unique culture of the client's organization and bring our experience to bear in order to find innovative and cost effective solutions. The most successful projects are the result of this interaction and the resulting space becomes an expression of this collaboration.
